HYALURONIC ACID
- Reasons to have this surgery:
- Deep facial wrinkles that form over the course of one's life are caused by loss of volume and elasticity. Nasolabial wrinkles and wrinkles in the corner of the mouth are the most notable facial wrinkles, but lip wrinkles and deep cheek wrinkles are also prevalent. Filler material, with which the skin is padded to a certain level, is used to treat these wrinkles. Another reason for using filler materials is to accentuate lip volume and/or shape the lip contour.
- The surgical technique:
- In recent years, synthetically manufactured hyaluronic acid has proven to be the safest and most reliable filler material. An allergy test is not necessary. Hyaluronic acid is administered to the corresponding areas with fine injection needles while the patient is under local anesthetic. Hyaluronic acid is available in various consistencies (depending on wrinkle type and depth).
- Procedure:
- The effect is visible immediately. Durability depends on the particle size of the respective filler material gel and lasts from 6 to 18 months.
